About CI-BAE
Empowering the Next Generation of IT Business Analysts
INTRO
CI‑BAE is a Canadian nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing education by providing accessible training, certification preparation, and professional development in IT Business Analysis and related digital skills. We focus on creating pathways to meaningful employment for underserved youth and women globally, and newcomers to Canada.
Our flagship initiative, BAE360, blends internationally aligned instruction, project simulation, and career development to prepare learners for today’s workforce.
As part of our mission, CI BAE also facilitates pathways to placement, helping qualified participants connect with opportunities for internships, freelance work, and project-based roles, where their skills can be applied in real settings.

WHO WE ARE
The Canadian Institute for Business Analysis Empowerment (CI‑BAE) is a federally registered nonprofit based in Gatineau.
We empower individuals from underrepresented groups, including youth, women, and career changers globally, and newcomers within Canada, by equipping them with practical IT Business Analysis skills and access to professional opportunities.
CI‑BAE partners with BrakaSoft Consulting Inc., an IIBA® Endorsed Education Provider (EEP®), to ensure high-quality delivery of training and simulation across both Canada and Rwanda.
BAE360:
IT Business Analysis Empowerment Pathway
BAE360 is CI‑BAE’s flagship IT Business Analysis empowerment program. It equips learners with the knowledge, experience, and career support they need to succeed in today’s dynamic workforce.
Through expert-led training, simulated real-world projects, and individualized coaching, participants develop their technical, strategic, and professional competencies.
While job placement is not guaranteed, learners may access freelance, internship, or project-based opportunities based on their readiness and available placements.
Program Overview
BAE360 is a 6-month, hybrid career development program that equips participants with internationally recognized business analysis training, practical experience through simulation, and structured career preparation.
The program is built around a 360° development cycle:
Train → Practice → Certify → Prepare → Launch
BAE360 is designed to serve as a bridge into the business analysis profession, especially for individuals from underrepresented backgrounds or transitioning careers in Rwanda and Canada.
Program Objectives

Equip participants with foundational and practical business analysis skills.

Prepare participants to pass the ECBA certification exam from IIBA®.

Provide opportunities to apply skills in simulated or real-world environments.

Offer career readiness support including job search preparation, portfolios, and exposure to placement opportunities.

Contribute to a global talent pipeline of ethical, competent business analysts.

Portfolio-based experience through hands-on simulations and practical IT Business Analysis tasks.

A practical, guided team project that mimics real-world BA challenges.
Outcome:
Each participant builds a portfolio, ready project that demonstrates BA competencies.
ECBA Certification Track
Top-performing participants may receive support and exam preparation for the Entry Certificate in IT Business Analysis (ECBA®) from the IIBA® (The International Institute of Business Analysis).
ECBA Exam Readiness:
IIBA® Endorsed Courses
Focused coaching and preparation for the ECBA exam.
Outcome:
Participants are supported up to the point of writing the ECBA exam, with performance tracking.
Career Development Track
Soft skills, LinkedIn & resume optimization, interview coaching, and job search guidance.
A guided transition from learning to professional engagement:
Outcome:
Participants leave with a professional digital presence, a portfolio, and placement support structures, while recognizing that employment outcomes are not guaranteed.
Placement Readiness Track
For learners who demonstrate job readiness, CI‑BAE supports access to internships, freelance work, or project-based roles, depending on performance, availability, and partner engagement.
